Chronic, hard-to-heal wounds pose an increasingly common clinical problem among patients worldwide. A properly treated wound heals within a few to dozen or so days. However, there are conditions which impede the wound healing process. There are many reasons for this, and there are different ways of treating hard-to-heal wounds. Proper physiotherapy and the use of appropriate procedures play a significant role in the healing process.

Key words: wound, wound healing, use of physiotherapy treatments.
