It is known from research that 15–70% of highly industrialized people who have returned from the tropics have health problems directly related to their stay abroad [1]. Diseases or deficiencies are most likely to occur during the journey, but their incubation period may last up to a few weeks, months or even years [2]. The article presents dracunculosis, a skin disease that is endemic, which, due to its prevalence and ease of transmission, poses a threat to human health and even to life [3]. Therefore, it was found that it is extremely important to look more carefully at neglected diseases.
