Libido and erectile dysfunction are an important group of problems in sexology, closely related to other areas of medicine. Hypolibidemia (or alibidemia) or lowering libido (or lack of libido) means weakness – lack of sexual drive. Erectile dysfunction is associated with persistent or recurrent inability to achieve and/or maintain an erection by a male to an insufficient degree of satisfactory sexual activity. Libido and erectile dysfunction occurs due to both psychogenic and somatic reasons. Among the somatic reasons, special attention was paid to endocrinopathy. It was stressed that the causes of sexual dysfunction, including libido and erection, are usually complex. They have often both a somatic and psychogenic component.

Key words: erectile dysfunction, libido disorder, hypolibidemia.
