Skydiving – this is an extreme skydiving, consisting of jumping out of an aircraft at an altitude of 1200–4000 meters by a person who has been previously trained by an instructor on the ground. There are tandem jump, accelerated learning freefall (AFF) and the classical method. The first descriptions of the parachutes can be found in Chinese literature in 1100 years. In Poland, the legends of jumping reach the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. First parachutes in Poland have been recorded in the late 20s of the twentieth century in the Polish Army. Knowledge of the phase jumps is necessary to understand the mechanisms leading to the formation of a possible injury. The most common injuries occur as a result of errors on landing, faults in equipment, collisions and insufficient knowledge of young athletes.

Key words: skydiving, sport.
